Religion in English representing 'Hindu, Muslim, Isai' etc is a shallow term.
But if we mean 'Dharm' here then humanity itself is Dharm and two complement each other. Thus humanity is possible because of 'Dharm' only. Without following one's Dharm one can not be humane.

fbd: Changing the names of cities

यहाँ दो तरह के किस्से हैं. एक तो वो जहाँ पूरा नाम ही बदला जाता है, मसलन चांदनी चौक के बारे में सुना है कि इसका नया नाम सचिन के नाम पर रखा जा रहा है. ये बड़ा ही सेंसिटिव होता है और हमें इतिहास और परंपरा का सदैव ध्यान रखना चाहिए व आदर करना चाहिए. अवांछनीय तौर पर जनता की जुबान पर चढ़े नामों के साथ छेड़छाड़ नहीं करनी चाहिए. पर साथ ही जबरदस्ती के आतंक्तायिओं, हमलावरों व विदेशियों के नामों पर रखे अपने शहरों व चौकों के नाम बदल लेने चाहियें.

और दूसरा वो जहाँ उच्चारण सही किया जाता है मसलन अंग्रेजी के कैलकटा या हिंदी को कलकत्ता की जगह सही बंगाली उच्चारण कोलकाता. तो इसे में बिलकुल बुरा नहीं मानता. मैं आज भी 'न्यू देल्ही' की जगह 'दिल्ली' लिखना और बोलना ज्यादा पसंद करता हूँ. अच्छा लगेगा अगर विश्व भी इसे दिल्ली के नाम से जानेगा.

The concept of celebrating a day with your PARENTS, HUSBAND AND other members of your family & not necessarily with boy or girl friend is a very noble one.
But unfortunately the Valentine's day has got stuck with romantic love all over. Today it would be a herculean task to take it away from flawed concept of 'romance' and link it with love for siblings and parents. Today we have to accept it or reject it as something linked with romance. It can not be visualised as love for anyone else.
